Hope your having a wonderful, rainy weekend I know I did. this weekend was especially important because it was RNAO (the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario) Annual General Meeting, where nurses from across the province gather once a year to discuss and collaborate on issues that nurses face in todays environment. It was a wonderful turnout as per usual and we as ONEIG were thankful to have had a chance to interact with amazing nurses from such diverse areas.
If your wondering what the picture above is about, well...let me tell you! our group had the chance to have a table to display what we do and who we are as a group. I must say we recieved wonderful feedback! The four jars signify areas that nurses find most interesting, by the end of the AGM the jar for Air Quality rained supreme climate change was second and Energy was third. This was great for us as a group because now we know what areas we can focus on. Our table also featured an Eco pledge that Nurses were encouraged to take to show that they support environmental efforts and are willing to make change. The pledge read; I PLEDGE TO PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT BY... and nurses could fill in the blanks with actions they have taken to help preserve the environment (you can find their pretty faces on the slideshow on the first page).
Overall, it was wonderful to see that Nurses are making an effort make change and believe preserving our environment is essential for us to care about.
If you have any feedback or questions please dont hesitate to contact us, we will be sure to get back to you! for now keep on browsing our webpage and who knows maybe there will be something that really sparks your interest :)
For now all the best
